Nanma Malayalam Belgium

Malayalam classes for children in Belgium

നന്മ മലയാളം — Nanma Malayalam, Belgium Chapter. Weekly online classes that teach our children to read, write and speak Malayalam, starting from the alphabet.

How the classes work

Children meet online on Sunday mornings through the school year, in small classes grouped by level rather than by age — a beginner starts at the alphabet however old they are. Lessons follow the Kanikkonna textbook: letters and vowel signs first, then words, then sentences and simple reading. Teaching is in Malayalam, gently, for children who speak Dutch, French or English all week.

Twice a year the whole school meets in person for Aksharakkoottam, and once a year for Padhanotsavam, our learning festival. Term dates follow the Belgian school holidays — see the class calendar.
